Alternate Form (Su) Margone has the ability to assume any humanoid form of Small to Large size as a standard action. This ability is similar to the polymorph self spell but allows only humanoid forms. While using this ability, Margone gains a +10 circumstance bonus on Disguise checks.
Fiend’s Favor (Su) Once per day, Margone can grant a touched creature a +3 bonus to one of the creature’s ability scores. This bonus stacks with any other bonus the creature may already have, and lasts for one day. When the effect expires, the creature takes a -3 penalty to the same ability score for the next day. Another application of fiend’s favor not only negates the penalty, but also restores the full bonus.
Suggestion (Sp) Margone has the ability to use suggestion three times per day (DC 22, CL 3rd). If the target of this ability is currently under the influence of a charm person cast by Margone, she takes a -2 penalty on her saving throw.
Mind Shielding (Su) Margone has complete immunity to detect thoughts, discern lies, and any attempt to magically discern her alignment.
Mark of Justice (Sp) Margone can use mark of justice once per day, though the ability might better be termed “mark of iniquity” when used in this manner.
Lady Margone is a seemingly ageless creature of exquisite beauty, with hair like a raven’s wing and deep maroon eyes. Large bat-like wings and stubby horns on her forehead are the most visible signs of her diabolical lineage; however, her glamorous nails are steely claws, and she never shows her teeth when she smiles, lest polite company gasp at their sharpness.
She always dresses in the latest fashions, preferring those which flatter her shape and demonstrate her exquisite taste. She usually has a fan in one hand, even in Sigil’s coldest months.
Lady Margone married Lord Cerellis, a good-natured but absent-minded half-celestial, to further her own ambitions, then bore Haden to secure her legacy. She is rarely seen in his home, preferring to wander all over Sigil and the Great Wheel in search of the most elaborate parties and the most prestigious company. She is never seen without a female bodyguard; the latest one is called Splinter.
Margone vanished from the Cage after the death of her husband. She was involved with Betzalel’s theft of the Tear of the Night from the elan enclave, and was believed to be hiding out in her summer house on the Elemental Plane of Air. Not finding her there, our heroes now plan to seek her on the doomed world of Thazia.
Margone affects the manner of a Lady, but both her human father (Rudrik, a knight of the post) and erinyes mother (Sauraphine, a minion of one of Dispater’s vassals) came from common stock, and she was born out of wedlock. She has made countless sacrifices to reinvent herself, and despises any reminders of who she used to be. Anyone who dares to speak ill of her pays in the end; she is well-acquainted, but has no friends.
She considers Haden a disappointment, but not without his uses. She believes that her son would be more useful if he would embrace one side of his nature – preferably the diabolical. She never misses a chance to remind Haden of his worthlessness.
Needless to say, Margone has many rivals and enemies, including Annali.
Lady Margone was created by Jennifer.
