Campaign of the Month: December 2007
Keeper of the Circle
Numeledes is an ancient man whose kind face betrays his morbid trappings – his black robe is much too long for him, and the image of a skull wreathed in flame dangles from a chain around his neck. His voice is thin and reedy, but can command attention when it must.
Originally from Oerth, Numeledes has been in Sigil for decades. He founded the Circle with two other clerics: Eusebius, who worshipped Mystra; and Firil Starwing, devoted to Corellon Larethian. After the first returned to Faerûn, and the second disappeared, the Circle’s congregation dwindled away. Now the old man has been joined by Joris Crownsilver.
Numeledes is sharper than his age would suggest, but still prone to absent-minded fits. He likes a pretty face, as his affection for Raven suggests. He expects to be with Wee Jas soon, and prays to be rewarded for a lifetime of devoted service.
